Celeste Zepponi

Celeste Zepponi has a story to tell, write, sing and also paint. Celeste paints angels, and writes worship music. Through her ministry, Celeste shares with others how to develop creativity as a form of prayer.

An art teacher to children for years, the lesson Celeste Zepponi’s young students taught her hit her like ton of fresh, wet clay. Only she was the clay and God had a new shape in which to mold her.

In her art room, Celeste had watched the kids create with open minds and honest hearts, with little care for what art was supposed to look like, but so simply -- whatever they wanted it to look like. She wondered out loud about the direction her own art should take. Her eight-year old student suggested, “Mrs. Zepponi, pretend you are eight and paint whatever you want!”

She took the simple wisdom of this young artist home and saw that God was telling her something about the bigger picture. She painted during her prayer time and began creating freely with joyful colors, patterns and shapes until a series of vibrant angels landed in her sketchbook. This was her way of going to God with the open heart of a child, freeing herself of life’s demands and expectations.

While drawing and painting these angels, Celeste began singing songs she didn’t know. She knew God was providing the words and melodies and that He wanted her to share this gift. The message: God wants us to come to Him freely and lovingly as His children.

Her album "Inside the Rainbow", accompanied by a painted cast of whimsical angels, is an offering of worship from a child's heart. Appropriate for children and adults this album is a collection of joyful praises to Jesus.

Her album "You Are Enough" is adult contemporary music featuring a collection of songs written by Celeste as well as recordings of her favorite praise and worship songs such as “I Exalt Thee”, “Refiners Fire” and others.

Celeste feels the best gift she can give is to show others how to develop their creativity as a form of prayer.

“We really can look at the ordinary in extraordinary ways,” Celeste joyfully explains, “Jesus said, ‘I have come that you may have life and have it to the fullest!’ (John 10:10). God wants us to enjoy and share all the gifts he has placed in us.”

Celeste has been sharing her story, her art and music to show others how to develop their prayer lives by exploring their creativity. She presents her art and music to women’s groups, church groups, and community groups and is working on more art and music everyday as she prays.
