Joe Zelek is a recognized talent in the Pittsburgh area. Best known thus far for his drumming with former Atlantic Records recording artists the Gathering Field (both on tour and in the studio since 1999), he is now establishing himself as a solo artist.   He said the change from being a drummer for a nationally known band to solo acoustic singer/songwriter has been both a spiritual journey and a time of growth.

”Recently I've been experiencing a renewal in my Catholic faith,” said Zelek, adding he’d never envisioned himself a typical Christian Songwriter.  “I don't want to shy away from the Christian message in my songs, but I do want the songwriting to stand on its own. “

After years of helping other artists realize their visions, Zelek is now focused on delivering his own via a steady gig schedule and promotion. “I’m proud of this music and want people to hear it, regardless if it's in a church basement, a coffee shop, or an amphitheater."
