Catholic Music Network Adds
Annie Karto’s “Perfect Sacrifice” to its
Selection
Birmingham, AL, October 25, 2005
- Catholic Music Network,
www.catholicmusicnetwork.com, announces the
addition of Catholic recording artist Annie
Karto’s latest CD “Perfect Sacrifice” to its
selection of premier Catholic music available
online.
Annie Karto’s “Perfect Sacrifice”
is a contemplative recording designed to
rekindle Eucharistic amazement in the listener.
A compilation of talented musicians from New
York City worked with Karto to breathe life into
each one of the fifteen songs that make up this
CD including back-up vocalists Victoria Faiella,
Tom Nazziola and Donna Cori Gibson. Cello,
violin, mandolin, flute, percussion and
harmonica are only a sampling of the instruments
used to add a unique blend to the album and
complete the project.
When
asked by CMN about her favorite song on the new
CD, Annie Karto replied that one of the more
noteworthy tracks includes “Come Home.” It was
written because of a common plea from fans
across the country asking prayers for their
loved ones who are no longer practicing their
Catholic Faith. The song was inspired by the
Gospel parable of the prodigal son with an
emphasis on the merciful love of the Father.
Another favorite, “Stay With Us Lord,” is based
on St. Luke’s Gospel of the Road to Emmaus, and
was inspired by the Great John Paul II’s
encyclical on the Eucharist, Ecclesia de
Eucharistia.
“Perfect
Sacrifice,” the title track, was written as a
tribute to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The
new CD also includes a lovely duet with Donna
Cori Gibson in “How Beautiful.” Annie has also
included favorites such as Schubert’s “Ave
Maria” and the classic hymn, “O Lord, I Am Not
Worthy.”
