translated rendition of a sung
responsorial Psalm, Joe became inspired
to begin research using various
translations of the Bible to find the
most accurate text to put to song. He
found that most of the texts were
similar, yet the "artistic license” used
over the years actually varied the true
meaning of the Psalms. Hand realized
that if he were true to the text, with
the Holy Spirit working through him, he
could be inspired to put the Psalms to
music without modification. Catholic

Both Psalm 40, "As For Me," and Psalm
90, "Before the Mountains Were Born,"
are ballads that highlight the love and
