Ground-breaking
new release from Critical Mass on JPII's
Theology of the Body

In today’s
society, we are simply surrounded by sex... in our
advertising, on the Internet, in our movies and
in our music. It is being used to sell pretty
much everything. However, between 1979 and 1984,
Pope John Paul II quietly gave a series of
talks, collectively referred to as the Theology
of the Bible (ToB), which is quietly
revolutionizing Catholic and Christian
viewpoints on sexuality, love, communion and the
intrinsic value of each person. Contrary to
popular opinion, Catholics do not frown on sex.
In fact, society has actually devalued what is
actually a precious gift from God.
The purpose of this album is to share with both
Christians and non-Christians the message of ToB.
Over the course of a year, Critical Mass
researched Pope John Paul II's ToB for
inspiration. The result is a ground-breaking
project unlike any other.
Body Language includes songs such as "No
Consequences," which challenges the conventional
wisdom that chastity is not possible for the
youth. "Devotion" is a song about the sacrament
of marriage, and "Alone" celebrates celibacy.
"Friend" deals with homosexuality, sung from the
perspective of a man with AIDS who begs
Christians to demonstrate Christ's love to him.
There are remakes of two songs on the album,
"Body and Blood," and "Walk You Home,"
introducing a new generation to these classics
with a fresh and modern arrangement. ::

Singer
healed after praying to St. Blaise releases new
classics album

12 classical and traditional sacred songs make
up this debut album by mezzo-soprano,
Adrianne Price. She was plagued for many
years by vocal nodules, which kept her from a
full-time singing career. Miraculously, she was
healed of her nodules through the intercession
of St. Blaise on his feastday, February 3, 1998,
in the chapel at EWTN in Irondale, Sacred
Classics includes favorites such as both the
Schubert and Bach/Gounod “Ave Maria”, Franck’s
“Panis Angelicus”, and the traditional “Hail
Holy Queen”(with a Celtic twist!) Additionally,
lesser known but equally inspiring is Faure’s
“Pie Jesu”, Dvorak’s “God is My Shepherd”, and
“Quia Respexit” from Bach’s “Magnificat.”
This recording was made before the Blessed
Sacrament in the magnificent Blessed Sacrament
Church, in Birmingham, AL. The church’s
acoustically perfect interior captures the
richness of the songs. Adrianne’s soaring
mezzo-soprano voice and violins, viola, cello,
harp, oboe, organ, and piano lift the listener’s
soul to God. ::

A
new creative and spiritual journey
Minnesota
singer/songwriter,
Peter Bierer, serves up a variety of
tantalizing treats with his debut release, All
Creation Groans. No two songs are alike on this
album, written in a variety of styles and
subjects,
All Creation Groans is a journey through
life. The listener travels from life’s joys,
through the struggles of the “valleys” and the
“dark night of the soul,” and on again to the
mountain tops.
“The songs on this album represent eight years
of writing and eight very different years of my
life,” Bierer says, “That’s part of the reason
why so many of the songs sound completely
different from one another. I also enjoy
different music styles and I don’t tend to write
in one singular genre. It’s part of the
challenge and the joy of composition, to write
in a variety of styles.” ::
